Background removal can help isolate a subject, but physical parts are reduced only when background cells are actually skipped. Full coverage at 96×96 uses 9,216 surface pieces. If the historical annotation of 2,930 active pieces is used, the arithmetic difference is 6,286 pieces (about 68.2%). This is an example, not a typical saving or a measured assembly-time result. Check the current mask for missing fur, whiskers and eyes before exporting.

What to Check in a Background-Removed Plan
Subject Dominance
Removing the background changes the image supplied to color matching. It can change the selected colors, but does not guarantee a measurable detail gain. Compare eye outlines and fur transitions with and without removal, using the same crop, grid and route.
Smart Skip Technology
When skipped-background cells are enabled, the generated plan, PDF and inventory omit those positions. Review the active count and module boundaries, then export all build and sourcing files from the same confirmed plan. A solid-color replacement background still needs parts unless its cells are skipped.
