How to Choose the Right Photo for Your LEGO Mosaic
The best photos for LEGO mosaics have high contrast, clear subjects, and minimal cluttered background. Human portraits, pet faces, and bold architectural lines work remarkably well in brick form.
You have a thousand photos on your phone, but which one will look best in bricks? Selection is the most critical step in the entire mosaic-making process.
Contrast is King
Because LEGO mosaics use a limited color palette, contrast is what creates depth and detail. A photo with a dark subject against a light background (or vice-versa) is more likely to result in a stunning mosaic than a photo with subtle shades of the same color.
Subject Framing
Close-up shots are almost always better than wide shots. If you want a portrait, the face should fill at least 60% of the frame.
